Materials: Cotton yarn for needle Size 2,5 – 4. Length 50gr: 125m 1.75 oz: 137 yrd – DK, light worsted #3. I prefer Catania by Schachenmayr. You can get to shop online in the USA and UK and all over the world. But you can use every yarn that you like. Example USA: http://www.lovecrochet.com/us/Schachenmayr-catania Example UK: http://www.lovecrochet.com/Schachenmayr-catania

I used for the big mouse the following colours: 3x light blue 1x rose 1x crème 1x white 1x black

For the little mouse I used: 1x light grey. I had 1 ball of yarn and it was close. If you crochet a little loser then I do, you may should have a second ball in storage. 1x rose 1x crème 1x white 1x black

Also you need the following:  Crochet hook: German 2,0, US B/1, UK 14  2 Half pearls black 10 mm and 8 mm  Pipe cleaner  Brown Nylon Yarn  Toy stuffing For personal use only! No commercial use. The (Re-) Sales, (Ex-) Change, Copying and multiplying and publishing even in the Internet, are NOT permitted. The local sales of the finished Product in small amounts is allowed. Page 2

 Scissor, Sewing needle, round counter, pin needles  Embroidery yarn in white to sew the eyes in place or glue.  Hot glue gun Abbreviations (US):         

SC = single crochet ST = Stitch CH. = chain(s) TCH = turn chain slst = slip stitch inc = increase dec = decrease FO = Fast off – cut yarn and pull thru last loop *from - to (x-times to repeat)* repeat the work between the * * as often as mentioned in the brackets

You crochet in spiral rounds or in ovals and the work will NOT be closed at the end with a slst. I always stuff quiet strong till nothing will fit in. Especially with body and head this is important – fill always small little pieces in – with the middle finger and the pointer of both hands in the work and place the stuffing good in the bends so you get a space in the middle which you can fill up. If you should just fill a little this is also mentioned in the pattern.

Now we build the head together. Fill the muzzle a little with stuffing, pin it on. Sew it all around, stitch by stitch, in place. Close to the end fill again strongly with stuffing. Hide the tail. You do not have to pull the needle through the whole mesh, it is enough to pull it through a little part of the mesh (see picture).

Fill the bridge of the nose a little with stuffing, pin it on, sew it all around. Close to the end, fill it again strongly with stuffing. Hide the tail.

Pin the feet in place and look that the mouse has a stable position. First the bottom has to be stitched on – follow the stitch pattern as shown in the pictures – stitch it also a little to the inside of the belly.

Leave a long tail to sew it on. Pipe cleaner has to be double folded and fill the tail with it. When the pipe cleaner is not long enough, take a piece more. You can fill the rest of the end with stuffing. Attach the tail on the bump, sew it on. Also sew a little on top of the back. Now you can curl the tail.

For the whiskers I used brown nylon yarn and gluer which dries up transparent. An alternative for whiskers with yarn, you found on the next page. Pull the whiskers through the back of the nose, fix with glue. Ready is the big woolmouse.

Whiskers alternative: take some brown or black wool. Then take some liquid glue into the palm of your hand. Pull the thread through the closed hand, so that the thread is sucked thinly with glue. Put these on tin foil to dry for a couple of hours.

Little Woolmouse The little woolmouse will be crochet and sew together as the big mouse. This is why I don´t explain the following steps: Close the hole, crochet in oval, knot the stings in to embroider the paws. If you are unsure, review in the pattern for the big wollmouse.
