Patrón: Muñecos de dedo de Sant Jordi, Princesa guerrera y Dragón / Pattern: Finger puppets of Saint George, Princess warrior and Dragon

Se acerca uno de mis días favoritos del año: Sant Jordi (San Jorge), en que Cataluña se despierta oliendo a rosas y a páginas de libro por estrenar. Las parejas caminan cogidas de la mano empuñando flores y las familias arman alboroto alrededor de los puestos callejeros, hojeando las últimas novedades editoriales y regateando el precio de las rosas. Hace ya unos años publiqué un patrón gratuito que reúne estos dos símbolos de la fiesta, el libro y la rosa, y este año os quiero presentar a los tres protagonistas de la leyenda, sin los cuales no sería posible toda esta maravillosa locura: Sant Jordi, la Princesa y el Dragón. Con estos graciosos títeres de dedo podréis recrear una y otra vez el cuento que más se escucha en nuestra tierra, y podréis inventar nuevos finales y adaptarla a nuestro tiempo. Por ejemplo, a la princesa le he puesto espada y un vestido-armadura, para defenderse ella sola del temible dragón. Y por lo que se refiere a la bestia, es vuestras manos está hacerla fiera o benévola, cambiándole la expresión de las cejas. One of my favorite days of the year is coming: Saint George, when Catalonia awakes smelling of roses and brand new book pages. Couples walk down the street holding flowers and families gather around stands, flicking through the latest publications and bargaining the roses’ price. Some years ago I posted a free pattern that sums up these two symbols of the festivity, the book and the rose, and this year I want to present the three main characters of the legend: Saint George, the Princess and the Dragon. With these cute finger puppets you can recreate once and again the most told story in our land and you’ll be able to imagine new endings, more adjusted to our time. For example, I gave the princess a sword and an armor dress, so she can face herself the terrible dragon. And as for the beast, you can choose whether to make it fiery or benevolent, just by changing the expression of its eyebrows. And without further ado, there you have the instructions to make these three nice buddies. (For the pattern in ENGLISH, please scroll down): -----------------------------------Materiales - Ganchillo de 2,5mm - Ojos de seguridad o perlitas de 3mm (para dama y caballero) - Ojos de seguridad o perlitas de 4,5mm (para dragón) - Hilado fino adecuado al grosor del ganchillo. Colores: beige, blanco, gris, azul marino, verde claro, verde oscuro, amarillo, marrón, rojo. - Fieltro. Colores: rojo, marrón claro, marrón oscuro y gris - Hilo de bordar rojo y marrón - Guata sintética Abreviaciones: Rd: ronda o vuelta cad: cadeneta p: punto pb: punto bajo aum: aumento (2pb en un mismo pb) dis: disminución pr: punto raso mpa: medio punto altoLt: lazada trasera (en vez de tejer cogiendo las dos hebras del pb, cogemos sólo la trasera) *...*: repetir la secuencia hasta el final de la vuelta [...]x… Repetir la secuencia entre corchetes tantas veces como indique el número que aparece tras la “x” (...) puntos que debes tener al final de la vuelta

Nota: Este patrón está realizado en espiral, por lo que al finalizar cada vuelta NO haremos una cadeneta ni daremos la vuelta al tejido, sino que continuaremos tejiendo (a no ser que se especifique lo contrario). Os recomiendo el uso de un marcador de vueltas. Sant Jordi (o cualquier caballero, en realidad)

Montaje • Cinturón: Con hilado marrón teje una hilera de pr entre entre las Rd 23 y 24 (Surface slip stitch). • Cose el casco a la cabeza. • Borda el pelo con hilo de bordar marrón. • Con fieltro rojo, haz una cruz y pégala con cola textil • Para hacer la hoja espada, corta un rectángulo de fieltro gris de 0,5cm de ancho y recorta un extremo para que sea puntiagudo. Pégalo en un lateral del cuerpo con pegamento textil, justo debajo del cinturón. • Con fieltro marrón recorta una empuñadura (como una cruz pero sin una de sus aspas) y pégala por encima de donde pegaste la hoja, por encima del cinturón. • Borda la boca con hilo rojo.

Con hilado rojo 5 cad Rd 1: En la 3ª cad desde el ganchillo teje [1pa, 1 cad, 1pa, 1 cad, 1pa]. En la 4ª cadeneta teje [1pr, 3cad]. En la 5ª cadeneta, teje [1pa, 1 cad, 1pa, 1 cad, 1pa, 1pr]. Deja hebra larga para coser.

Enrolla el tejido para que quede con forma de rosa y dale unas puntadas para que quede sujeta.

Montaje • Para hacer la hoja espada, corta un rectángulo de fieltro gris de 0,5cm y recorta un extremo para que quede de forma triangular. Pégalo en un lateral del cuerpo con pegamento textil, por debajo de la falda. • Con fieltro marrón recorta una empuñadura (como una cruz pero sin una de sus aspas) y pégala por encima de donde pegaste la hoja, por encima de la falda. • Borda la boca con hilo de bordar rojo. • Cose el pelo a la cabeza • Cose la trenza a un lateral del pelo • Cose la rosa por encima del nacimiento de la trenza

Dragón (el animal en peligro de extinción)

Pinchos

Montaje • Borda la boca con hilo de bordar rojo y las cejas con hilo de bordar verde claro • Cose las orejas a la cabeza • Cose la cabeza al cuerpo • Cose la barriga al cuerpo • Con hilado verde claro, borda líneas en la barriga del dragón dejando 2 hileras de espacio entre ellas. • Sujeta los pinchos con alfileres a la espalda del dragón, empezando por el extremo inferior del muñeco y subiendo hasta la cabeza. Una vez el lomo está bien sujeto y queda bien centrado, cóselo a la espalda.

Stick it to one side of the body, with the flat side under the skirt • Using dark brown felt cut a grip (like a cross but without one of the ends) and stick it above the skirt and above the blade • Embroider the mouth with red embroidery floss • Sew the hair to the head • Sew the braid to one side of the hair

Ears With dark green yarn, ch3 Rd1: From 2nd ch from hook, 1sc, 1hdc (2) Sl st and y leave a long end to sew Putting it together • Embroider the mouth with red embroidery floss and the eyebrows with light green embroidery floss. • Sew the ears to the head • Sew the head to the body • Sew the belly to the body • Embroider light green stripes in the belly, leaving 2 rows between each stripe. • Place the spikes on the dragon’s back and hold them with pins, starting from the lower side of the body and up to the head. Once the spikes are well centered and forming a straight line, sew them to the back.
